Love Your Guts with Water Kefir.

13 September

Water Kefir is all the rage. For a few years now. So let’s just assume its not a fad and its not going anywhere.

Having a happy GUT (digestive system) is key to good health in your body. Attaining a happy gut by drinking a fizzy delicious drink? I was sold at first sip.

This stuff is pretty amazing. Besides tasting awesome and being super easy to brew and enjoy, enjoying this fermented treat does really do wonders for your body. How so, you ask?

Well, it basically has its way with your gut – top to bottom. And your gut loves it! Kefir is a lacto-fermented drink, which means it is loaded with good bacteria, and your gut, my gut, ALL of our guts need more good bacteria. Trust me on this.

Back in the day, we all ate and drank fermented foods. They were an important component in our food preservation, and also in the health of our bodies. When refrigeration and modern technology gave us “better” ways to preserve foods, we abandoned our fermented treats. Our bodies are LITERALLY crying out for them. You will not believe how many people call me for more Kefir a day after first tasting it, they often say they are craving it and don’t understand why.

So, let’s get to it. Where can you get your lacto-fermented fix? Well, you can get your hands on a starter culture for kombucha, another lacto-fermented drink, or pay an arm and a leg to buy a pre made bottle of it every day. You can try milk kefir grains, a culture that ferments milk into yogurt, but since so many are intolerant or choosing not to consume animal products, this is a tough sell. You can always consume mass amounts of sauerkraut!  Best option: If you want to brew something that tastes like soda, sunshine, white wine, apple cider, and heaven (depending on who you ask) then get with GRUB to get the materials, the lesson, and the support to brew your own fizzy lifting drink right at home.

3 years ago I tried my first batch, and I was hooked at first sip. Its slightly carbonated, a little sweet with a background punch, and can be flavored in countless ways to keep it interesting and fun. Kids adore it, skeptical guys are converted quickly, and it makes for fantastic conversation at a gathering!

Best part? It takes 5 minutes per day to brew, costs pennies per day to make, and if you care for it your cultures, they last a lifetime! Nifty, right?!

Through serious trial and error, insane amounts of research, and non stop obsessing, I have developed a system for brewing Water Kefir that works beautifully and ensures a lovely fizzy batch ready to drink each day. It has replaced wine for me (and that was no easy feat). Water Kefir actually has a tranquilizing effect on the central nervous system, so it’s fantastic to drink at night. Pour it into a wine glass for the full effect. Some folks really enjoy it after a workout, or first thing in the morning, to set the tone for the day. It can help promote better sleep, is great for folks with anxiety and depression, and because it works on your gut (did you know much of your immune health lies in your gut?) it actually boosts your immunity. Less colds this winter?! SOLD.

Bottom line? If you gut isnt happy, neither is the rest of you. Water Kefir makes guts happy. Bonus perks? Many report better skin, hair and nails.

Make your mouth and guts happy and get your hands on one of GRUB’s Water Kefir Kits. Our cultures are ALIVE and fresh, not dehydrated or powdered. Our strainer is the best on the market, and makes for a mess-free kefir experience. Our instructions are thorough, and we offer support on a private forum with over 150 participants for everyone who buys a kit.

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Water Kefir.

To your gut!

People in Australia order more remedies per man than any other country. The availability of remedies provided by companies is definitely a contributing factor to recipe remedy abuse epidemic. So the next matter is where can you find info that is reliable. You can find the information overnight and conveniently by going online. What medicines you can purchase online? For example Xylocaine causes loss of feeling in an area of your body. Given before dental work. Again treats emergency heart rhythm problems. Thousands of customers buy online such medicaments like Cialis. What about effects of Cialis and sexual health problems? What about sexual disorders and Cialis Side Effects? A common sexual complaint among men is the erectile dysfunction. Sexual heartiness problems can often indicate problems elsewhere. A common class of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, which include Prozac can cause problems in bed. So if you are experiencing sexual problems, it is substantial to see a qualified pharmacist right away for a complete natural examination. Again most side effects vary from human to human. This medicament is for you. Never give Cialis to other people even if their condition appears to be the same as yours.

Before I read this I had no idea what water kefir was or why I would want to drink it. Now I am so looking forward to attending the demo at Tidal Creek and giving it a try! I also can’t wait to tell my husband about it, he is going to be pumped! Thanks Ryanna!!

I made water kefir for about a year but recently got rid of my grains and stopped making it. Sure, it tastes great — why shouldn’t it? It’s sugar based. As a prediabetic I’m trying to eliminate unnecessary sugar and am taking a heavy-duty probiotic daily instead (which I down with water). I do miss my morning fizz, but know that the excess sugar is not good for me, even the small amount that’s in the kefir. I make and eat my own low-sugar pickled ginger and eat sauerkraut, Bubbie’s pickles, and kimchi.

No matter if you’re drinking Kefir or not, you’re right that diverse sources of probiotics are important, Judy!

The sugar left in Kefir after it’s fermented is extremely low, but we absolutely appreciate and support you listening to your body! Thanks for sharing!
